Privacy Policy
In short: Arqivo saves your data locally and can sync or share selected folders through your iCloud account. We do not collect, transmit or sell personal data to third parties.
1. Data controller
The data controller is the developer of the Arqivo application, reachable at support@arqivo.app.
2. Data collected and processing
Arqivo is designed with a privacy-first approach. The application does not collect, transmit or share any personal data with external servers or third parties.
Data entered in the app (folders, items, photos, files, notes) is:
- Saved exclusively on the user's device
- Never transmitted to external servers without explicit user consent
- Under the user's exclusive control at all times
- Permanently deleted upon app uninstallation
3. iCloud synchronisation and sharing
Arqivo offers optional synchronisation and team sharing via Apple iCloud/CloudKit. These features:
- Is disabled by default
- Must be explicitly enabled by the user
- Uses exclusively Apple's CloudKit infrastructure
- Is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
Arqivo has no access to data synchronised or shared through iCloud. Shared folders are handled by Apple CloudKit and only with recipients selected by the user.
4. Required permissions
Arqivo requests the following system permissions, used exclusively for the stated functions:
- Camera — for document scanning via VisionKit, photo capture and LiDAR floor plans
- Photo library — to attach images to folders
- Location — to add coordinates to photo watermarks when the user grants permission
- Notifications — for follow-up reminders (optional, disabled by default)
No permission is used for tracking or analytics. Location is used only on device to add coordinates to watermarked photos when available.
5. Diagnostics and analytics
Arqivo does not use any third-party analytics, tracking or diagnostic SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics).
Apple may collect anonymised crash data through its own system, if the user has consented to sharing diagnostic data with developers in iOS settings. This data is anonymous and aggregated.
6. Children's data
Arqivo is a professional application intended for adult users. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided data through the app, please contact us at the address indicated.
7. Data security
Locally stored data is protected by the iOS and macOS device security systems (hardware encryption, Face ID / Touch ID). We recommend:
- Keeping iOS updated to the latest version
- Enabling screen lock with passcode or biometrics
- Performing regular backups via iCloud or Time Machine
8. User rights (GDPR)
In accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the user has the right to:
- Access — access their data at any time from the app
- Rectification — modify entered data directly in the app
- Erasure — delete individual items or the entire app
- Portability — export data as PDF report, ZIP archive or complete .arqivo package
Since data is stored exclusively on the user's device, exercising these rights is done directly through the application, without needing to request external intervention.
9. Changes to this policy
Any updates to this policy will be published on this page with the date of last modification. For material changes, users will be notified via an in-app notification.
10. Applicable law
This policy is drafted in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended. Disputes are subject to Italian jurisdiction.
