Privacy Policy
Arqivo stores project data on your devices and synchronizes it through your iCloud account. Shared projects are accessible to the people you invite. No third-party analytics.
1. Data controller
The data controller is the developer of the Arqivo application, reachable at support@arqivo.app.
2. Data collected and processing
Project data is stored on your devices and synchronized through Apple iCloud/CloudKit. Shared projects are accessible to invited participants according to their permissions. Arqivo does not operate a separate server for storing your project contents.
Data entered in the app (folders, items, photos, files, notes) is:
- Stored locally on your devices
- Synchronized through your iCloud account when iCloud is available
- Shared with the people you invite, according to their permissions
- Uninstalling the app does not delete data stored in iCloud
3. iCloud synchronisation and sharing
Arqivo synchronizes project data and supports team sharing through Apple iCloud/CloudKit:
- Synchronization uses the iCloud account available on your device
- Changes are synchronized when connectivity and system conditions allow
- Team sharing gives invited participants editor or read-only access
- Apple's Privacy Policy applies to iCloud services
Project contents are not uploaded to Arqivo servers. Synchronization and sharing use Apple's infrastructure. Uninstalling the app does not delete your iCloud data; use the deletion controls in the app to remove project data.
4. Required permissions
Arqivo requests the following system permissions, used exclusively for the stated functions:
- Camera — for document scanning via VisionKit, photo capture and LiDAR floor plans
- Photo library — to attach images to folders
- Location — to add coordinates to photo watermarks when the user grants permission
- Notifications — for follow-up reminders (optional, disabled by default)
No permission is used for tracking or analytics. Location is used only on device to add coordinates to watermarked photos when available.
5. Diagnostics and analytics
Arqivo does not use any third-party analytics, tracking or diagnostic SDKs (e.g. Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, Google Analytics).
Apple may collect anonymised crash data through its own system, if the user has consented to sharing diagnostic data with developers in iOS settings. This data is anonymous and aggregated.
6. Children's data
Arqivo is a professional application intended for adult users. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided data through the app, please contact us at the address indicated.
7. Data security
Locally stored data is protected by the iOS and macOS device security systems (hardware encryption, Face ID / Touch ID). We recommend:
- Keeping iOS updated to the latest version
- Enabling screen lock with passcode or biometrics
- Performing regular backups via iCloud or Time Machine
8. User rights (GDPR)
In accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), the user has the right to:
- Access — access their data at any time from the app
- Rectification — modify entered data directly in the app
- Erasure — use the app's deletion controls; uninstalling alone does not delete iCloud data
- Portability — export data as PDF report, ZIP archive or complete .arqivo package
You can access, correct, delete and export project data through the app. Deletions must synchronize to reach iCloud and your other devices. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete iCloud data.
9. Changes to this policy
Any updates to this policy will be published on this page with the date of last modification. For material changes, users will be notified via an in-app notification.
10. Applicable law
This policy is drafted in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended. Disputes are subject to Italian jurisdiction.
